So, everyone, it's been quite a while! Much has changed in my life since my last lengthy journal entry. It's been such a long time, that it might appear that I've turned a blind eye to DeviantArt, and the friends I keep in contact with through it. But never fear! Here I am, ready to give you updates with my life, and open up commission slots (more on that later.)

First off, I've gotten myself a "real job." I work part-time as a kid's art teacher at a rad shop/studio called PaintLab in Santa Monica. It pays well, but it's a far bus ride, and the hours are short. The kids are all real great and fun to work with. I really enjoy working with children, as strange as it may sound to some of you, but I really do enjoy it. I just don't ever want some of my own, haha.

Second on the list is, yes, I did in fact go to E3. I even had the privilege of working it, for a time, too. I'm currently writing a response to some questions that my friend :iconbrandokay: gave me for his podcast that just about covers everything about my experience. If he says it's alright, I'll post it here, too.

Which brings me to my last big thing. Yes, I will be opening up cosplay commission slots! I'm out of school, and I want to vastly improve my skills. I've got the time and desire, and I really want to expand my portfolio. Right now, I'd love to get some prop commissions, too. I have some crazy goals that I'll be shooting for in the future, and prop-wise, especially, I need all the experience I can get!

Right now, I'll take on two (2) cosplay commissions, and two (2) prop/accessory commissions. Because these are my first ones, I would prefer for them to not be large, difficult outfits or props. Also,  I probably won't be able to finish commissions in time for Anime Expo/Otakon, unless they really are *that* simple. Which could very well be the case (I'm looking at you, gijinka, bags, jewelry, and hair accessories.)

Here are some rules, which are all subject to change, seeing as this is my first time doing this.

--Half of the commission price will be paid before the project is completed, the other half, when it is completed. Your item will be sent when final payment is received.

--I reserve the right to refuse to make any costume/item. Usually, this will only be because I feel that the costume/item in question is beyond my skill level. I won't make something I know I will not be able to do well.
-However, there are a few costumes that I've made in the past that I would not like to make again, due to various reasons. Please respect this.

--If you like, I will also style a wig for you, but, of course, it will cost extra.

--Buyer pays all shipping/handling. If we're going to the same convention you need the outfit by, I can deliver it to you in person.

--I accept paypal, and, if you're local, cash.

--I am open/interested in trades; if you are too, let me know what you're offering. :)

-- I can also make you custom prosthesis/teeth. These are considered props/accessories.
-I can also do custom makeup/effects at conventions for a small fee.

All these rules are subject to change.

If you would like a quote for a costume/prop/accessory, then please email me at HayleyMintz@aol.com with the following:

+Character's name (& item's name) & source
+ Four (4) or more different references of the character(and/or item). PLEASE provide decent references. I need at least one full body, and one image of the back of the outfit.
+Your measurements (chest, waist, hips, shoulder-to-shoulder, inseam, chest-to-hip, etc.)
+When you'll need the outfit by
+Where you live
+Project Triangle time. Pick Two: Cheap, Quality, Speed.*

(*You can only have two. This means that if you want an item made well and fast, it will not be cheap. If you want an item made well and cheap, it will not be fast. If you want an item made fast and cheap, it will not be made well. Etc.)

The email address, HayleyMintz@aol.com is different from my everyday email, and will be used exclusively for work. Please do NOT note me here on dA. I probably won't respond as soon as you'd like. I'll respond to your email in 1-3 days with a quote, and any other comments/questions that I might have. From there, I'll begin working after you send the first half of payment. Yes, I can work out payment plans with you. :) Also, feel free to ask for a quote, even if my slots are filled up! You can even email me there if you've just got a question about anything. I know that this setup is new, and there's probably something I've missed, so there's no harm in it.

And that about sums up my life right now! I've also gotten some business cards, too. They've totally got a dragon on them. :iconimcoolplz:

I'm glad you're alive :meow: If I wasn't so poor and if I didn't enjoy making costumes myself I would totally hit you up for a costume since you're so good :dummy: This advertisement is paid for by "People who love Hayley Mintz" xD

But in all seriousness, I hope you get lots of commissions and end up rolling in moneys.
